On Saturday, October 22, 2011, 6:00 p.m. at Fields BMW in Northfield, Illinois, Special Kids Network will host a No Limit Hold’em Poker tournament in which over 400 players are expected to participate. The event will be run by Matt Savage, World Poker Tour’s Executive Tournament Director. Several professional poker players are scheduled to appear.
The main beneficiary for this year’s event is Keshet, an organization that offers educational, vocational and recreational programs for children and young adults with physical and developmental disabilities. Special Recipients for this event will be The Chicago Lighthouse for People Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired infant and toddler family program and Rainbows, an organization helping youth successfully navigate the very difficult grieving process.
The success of this event will allow us to continue to contribute to the charitable organizations that have come to rely on the Special Kids Network to fund programs and research that help children and young adults in a many ways.
Our first place winner will receive a $10,000 buy-in to the Main Event at the World Series of Poker.
